  1. Bharat Bhawan is multi-art centre set up to create an interactive proximity between the verbal, visual and performing arts. It was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi on 13 February 1982.

  2. The Prince of Wales Museum of Western India, officially renamed as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya is the main museum in Mumbai (formerly Bombay), India.

  3. The Salarjung Museum is an art museum located at Darushifa, on the southern bank of the Musi River in the city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is one of the three National Museums of India.

  4. The Shimla State Museum houses a huge collection of magnificent paintings, sculptures, coins, handicrafts, photos, etc., of not only the state of Himachal Pradesh but outside too. The state museum is a major attraction of the Mall area of Shimla built in the style of colonial edifice with sprawling lawns all around. This museum was inaugurated in 1974.

  5. Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya also known as the National Museum of Mankind is located on the Shamla Hills in Bhopal. This museum was established in the year 1974 and lately it has been renamed as Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya.

  6. One of the popular Pondicherry Museums of the region is The Puducherry Museum located in the building that was formerly known as the Law Building along the Saint Louis Street in Pondicherry.
