1. Milkha Singh is also known as the Flying Sikh. He is a former Indian track and field sprinter. Professional golfer Jeev Milkha Singh, is his son.

2. Lakshmibai, the Rani of Jhansi, was the queen of the Maratha-ruled princely state of Jhansi. She was one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

3. Ashoka Maurya was an Indian emperor of the Maurya Dynasty who ruled almost all of the Indian subcontinent. He is also known as Ashoka or Ashoka the Great.

4. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam is an Indian scientist and administrator who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007.

5. Blessed Teresa of Calcutta or Anjeze Gonxhe Bojaxhiu or Mother Teresa was an ethnic Albanian, Indian Roman Catholic nun. She was the recipient of numerous honours including the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize.

6. Abu'l-Fath Jalal-ud-Din Muhammad Akbar was the third Mughal Emperor. He was the son of Emperor Humayun. 

7. Ghalib was a classical Urdu and Persian poet.
